Eduard Norden Prize
The Prize commemorates the work of Eduard Norden (1868-1941), Professor of Classical Philology at the University of Berlin from 1906. In 1935, he was forced to retire by the National Socialist regime, and in 1939 he was forced to emigrate to Switzerland. His research, particularly on the history of ancient religion and Virgil, is considered relevant and influential to this day.
