Curriculum vitae

Julien Devinant (1985) was born in France, where he studied Classics (M.A. summa cum laude in 2007 under the supervision of Prof. V. Boudon) and Philosophy (M.A. summa cum laude in 2008 under the supervision of Prof. A. Laks) at Paris-Sorbonne University; he is a former student of the Ecole Normale Supérieure (Paris) and holds the Agrégation (highly competitive french teaching qualification) in Philosophy. He has been Teaching Assistant in Philosophy at Paris-Sorbonne (2010-2013).

As of October 2010, he is preparing a thesis on Galen’s psychopathology under the joint supervision of Prof. A. Laks (Paris Sorbonne) and Prof. Ph. van der Eijk (Humboldt University Berlin) and is currently working within Ph. van der Eijk’s research program “Medicine of the Mind, Philosophy of the Body”.
