In the summer semester 2025 we are happy to welcome Prof. Dr. Peter E. Pormann, University of Manchester, DFG-Mercator fellow of the project, who will spend the whole semester with us at the Institute for Classical Philology at Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin.

Summer School 2025 of Humboldt Student Society (26./27.09.) including a presentation of the research project on Galen's commentary on the Hippocratic Aphorisms
The student society at the Institute of Classics is pleased to announce the Summer School 2025! This year's topic is “Research on classics exemplified by ancient medicine”. There will be an introduction to the basics of ancient medicine in theory and practice, but also a presentation of the research project on Galen's commentary on the Hippocratic Aphorisms, which has been running at the Institute of Classics since 2024, and a close look on questions of textual criticism and editorial studies.
The Summer School will take place from September 26-27, 2025. More detailed information, including registration, can be found on the homepage of the student society.
